DESCRIPTION

Starry, starry nights, reflections on water, fireworks ….? I love using this silver and gold elastic as it is so easy to sew curves and children love the sparkle.

Size

Approximately 35cm x 45cm (all layers cut 37 x 47cm)

Materials

• Pieced fabric for top
• Any fabric for back (I have stitched some scraps of silver elastic on the back before assembly)
• Thin wadding if needed
• 2-3m of 3mm wide elastic or very thin ric rac for swirls
• Wider elastic or ribbon for stars

ORDER OF ASSEMBLY

• Join fabrics in a simple layout
• Assemble the layers.
• Pin the swirls in place and stitch – let them be wonky, it adds to the character
• Pin some stars in place and stitch.
• Trim and bind the quilts
