Swirl

DESCRIPTION

Often the simple designs work best. Created to stimulate discussion and creative play by four children.

Size

Approximately 45cm x 45cm (all layers cut 47 x 47cm)

Materials

• Fleece/velvet or velour on top
• Fabric of choice on back
• Thin wadding if needed
• Rainbow ribbon through middle covers a join in the velour fabric. 1cm wide x 1-1.5m gold elastic for the sticks and 3mm x 2m silver elastic for the swirls.

ORDER OF ASSEMBLY

• Assemble the layers.
• Stitch the four silver swirls using a narrow elastic or ric rac to ensure ease of sewing the curves.
• Add 9-12 sticks.

• Trim and bind the quilt.
